Forget the pots and pans, it’s gift vouchers that newlyweds want!

A recent survey has found that couples getting married would most like gift vouchers or cash from their guests, rather than items from a gift list. 35% of the 1,924 people who took part in the First Direct survey opted for vouchers or cash, with 22% wanting items from a gift list they had created.

Only 19% wanted their guests to give a gift that the guests had chosen themselves, with 19% preferring to not receive any gifts at all. 3% wanted their guests to donate to charity rather than give a gift.

Are you attending a wedding in the next few months?

If you are then why not buy wedding gifts online. John Lewis vouchers make excellent wedding gifts as the couple can treat themselves to something nice for their home or if the happy couple already have a home together why not treat them to some garden vouchers so that they can give their garden a makeover.

Argos gift cards and Debenhams gift cards are loved by brides and grooms because they can be spent on a wide range of items and pooled together to purchase a bigger item if a number of guests opt for the same gift card. It is a good idea to ask a bride or her family which gift vouchers or cards she would prefer, if you can. That way you can guarantee the bride will love your gift!

Thomas Cook vouchers can be used towards the honeymoon or for a weekend break once the happy couple return or maybe Love2shop vouchers would be the best option because they are so flexible.
