What people really want to do on Valentine’s Day

A recent Highstreetvouchers.com survey of 433 people has determined that what most people want to do on Valentine’s Day is go for a meal. Of those surveyed, 54% stated that going for a meal would be their date of choice, closely followed by getting a takeaway at 37%.

With over 90% of the survey choosing a date involving food, it is no wonder that the Restaurant choice voucher – one of Highstreetvouchers.com’s newest vouchers – has become a top seller in recent weeks. The Restaurant Choice Voucher can be spent in a variety of chain restaurants, including Strada, Jamie’s Italian, Nando’s, Yo Sushi and many more, plus a variety of handpicked independent restaurants too.
Other survey results stated that 58% of people find it easy to choose the perfect Valentine’s Day gift, indicating that 42% still struggle to find their loved one a wonderful gift. If you are struggling to find a gift, highstreetvouchers.com offer a huge range of gift vouchers and cards perfect for Valentine’s Day, because you can’t go too far wrong with a gift voucher!

If only the partners of these unfortunate women had thought of that! Here are the top 10 worst gifts from the survey:

2.       A fake red rose, battered and withered, with a card on it saying "Rest in Peace Aunt Agnes". Obviously stolen off a grave.
3.       An iron
4.       Beautiful flowers with someone else’s name on them. My boyfriend at the time had put the wrong card on them. He was two timing me.
5.       Tea towels
6.       Lingerie 4 sizes too small
7.       Tampax
8.       A gravy boat
9.       A hoover
10.   Edible knickers
